Osvaldo La Porta is an eclectic musician. A guitarist, composer, and improviser, he was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He took guitar lessons with Juan Barrueco, Walter Malosetti, and Pino Marrone, among others. He participated in numerous seminars at the local Berklee. He also took composition classes with Fernando Maglia. His early career was related to blues and rock. Later, he ventured into progressive music, Argentine folklore, and music from the River Plate. Over the past 20 years, his work has explored improvised music in conjunction with noise and electronic music.
